I am enjoying keeping my iPhone in my pocket as my insurance company monitors my phone use while driving to determine discounts. Had to use the suction cup mount as the dash mount needs a flat hard surface. My car has neither.I had difficulties figuring out the CarPlay connection. I use the Bluetooth connection but you also have to connect the WiFi and switch on auto connect in WiFi settings to make the process seamless. The troubleshooting instructions tell you to replace the SD card and if you have issues but that isn’t necessary unless you want a larger than 64GB card. Customer service is AI for the most part and poor. I asked about the 3rd party email for firmware support that was supposed to be supplied with documentation. It was not. They said they would email it to me and they never did. This would have helped with clock issues and any eventual upgrades an bug fixes. I am not sure what the issue is and is preventing me from purchasing another device for my wife’s car. My 4 star review is very generous, nor like a 3 1/4. The 1/4 is for the decent price and 350 degree camera.
I purchased two of these units—one for my 2015 Camry and another for my 2010 Yaris. The product performs exactly as advertised, with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, and GPS all working seamlessly.However, I did encounter an issue where the date and time wouldn’t sync properly with Apple CarPlay. I reached out to customer service, and they were incredibly responsive. They quickly sent me a SIM card containing a software update that resolved the issue.Overall, I’m very impressed with both the product and the excellent customer support. Highly recommended!
